INSPIRATION
Paramhansa Yogananda,
Paramhansa Yogananda, 1893-1952, was the first yoga master of India to take up permanent residence in the West. Yogananda authored the Autobiography of a Yogi, the most-read spiritual masterpiece. The book has inspired and continues to inspire millions with a realization of their innate Divinity.
He said on selfless service, “As you forget self in service to others, you will find that, without seeking it, your own cup of happiness will be full.”

A physiotherapy unit was established in 2017 for community and ashram mothers.

D. R. Kaarthikeyan is a farmer-turned, lawyer-turned, senior police officer-turned, Human Rights activist-turned, promoter of Inter-faith harmony and environmentalist. He has held very high positions in the Government of India including Director General of the National Human Rights Commission, Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation and Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force. His commendable services have been recognized and honoured by the Government and Non-Governmental Organisations. He was awarded, by President of India, with Medal for Meritorious Service and Medal for Distinguished Service. He was honoured with the National Award Padma Shri for his commendable services to the nation in many fields. He has been entrusted with responsibilities as member of the High Power Commissions by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and Hon'ble High Courts of Delhi and Kerala. He is currently associated with several organizations promoting spirituality, value based education, health for all, welfare of the rural people and farmers, environment and clean and renewable energy. He has edited and published several books and articles on various subjects. His periodical well researched Newsletters on various themes are circulated all over the world and valued by distinguished personalities and even in the UN organisations like World Bank and IMF.

(Dr.) Aditya Gait is the Spiritual Director of Ananda, Pune, and a Medical Practitioner, whose chief interests lie in sharing the teachings and benefits of yoga as a healthy and successful way of life. Dr. Aditya has been actively sharing these teachings in corporates, medical facilities and other institutions across India, Asia, USA, and Europe since 2008. He is a monk of the Ananda Renunciate Order and, in addition to his medical service, loves to offer an integrated health experience at physical, mental, and spiritual levels, based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.

Jayeeta is serving with the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust and living in Vrindavan since 2018. She’s actively involved in all functions carried out by the Trust. She has been associated with Ananda Sangha (a spiritual organisation sharing the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and a sister concern of the Yogananda Trust) since 2013. She has successfully co-managed Ananda Sangha center in Gurgaon, and has been instrumental in training and bringing about various service departments and teams. She is Masters in Sociology and has been a Human Resource consultant, specializing in recruitment and training with more than 22 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. She has extensive experience in training employees at the SOS International Clinic, China, and setting up training units in Thailand and Maldives. She has designed and delivered innovative Learning and Development projects, not only for the Hospitality Industry and the Corporates (IT and Non IT) but also for students of various age groups.

She has been associated with Ananda Sangha (a spiritual organisation sharing the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and a sister concern of the Yogananda Trust) since 2013. She has successfully co-managed Ananda Sangha center in Gurgaon, and has been instrumental in training and bringing about various service departments and teams. She is Masters in Sociology and has been a Human Resource consultant, specializing in recruitment and training with more than 22 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. Amit is a finance professional and is a qualified CA (India), CPA (US) and black belt in Six Sigma. He has led the finance and supply chain functions for large MNCs and Indian corporates across diverse industries over a career spanning more than 30 years. He has now moved to the social sector and has an oversight of the finance and accounting departments of the trust. With his diverse work experience, he has contributed significantly to strengthening the internal controls and governance procedures of the Yogananda Trust.
Divisha Gupta
Manager Digital Engagement and New Initiatives
Divisha joined the Trust in 2021 to launch the ‘Circle of Love’, the first online volunteering initiative of the Trust. She now oversees the online and offline volunteering initiatives of the Trust as well as all digital engagements on social media platforms. She is especially enthused about new initiatives and engagements that the Trust undertakes. Divisha is a Life Coach and Yoga and Meditation Trainer and has coached individuals and conducted various workshops for open groups and corporates on Happiness, Positive Thinking, Meditation etc.
Tripti Pandey
Program Manager and HR Head
Tripti is the heart of the Yogananda Trust whom every employee turns to for guidance, whether it be personal or professional. Her calm disposition and caring nature encourages trust in everybody she comes across. Tripti joined the Trust in 2016 as a coordinator and with her dedication, reliability and diligence has grown to become the Program Manager. Tripti is a Post Graduate Health Education professional with 20 years of experience as a counselor, dietician and yoga instructor on holistic wellness. She has worked with renowned organizations like Aids Control Society, BBC World Service Trust , IPAS, Chandra Medical College , Academic Resource Group, Central School Organizations etc. Hence she has a ground experience of community health, hospital administration, office administration, organizational development and complexity management in a diverse group.

Rama has been instrumental in the growth of the Yogananda Trust since its inception in 2015, completely
immersing herself in all aspects of the work starting with initial surveys in the early days right up till the
establishment of the 4 care homes which she successfully manages today.
She exemplifies the attitude of ‘service’ which is the core of our work and personally trains and inspires the
same sense of service in every staff.
A mother of two children, having seen her share of joys and sorrows enables her to be a compassionate daughter
and friend to the mothers she looks after.
Shashi Rani

Shashi Rani Biswas (Shashi Maa) joined the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust at the age of 54 in 2016 after her husband's demise. For the first time in her life she stepped out of her home to earn a living as she needed to support her family. She is a mother and a grandmother. Her kind and compassionate heart led her to serve other needy elderly mothers at the Yogananda Trust. She understood their plight as she too has an 80 year old mother whom she looks after. Shashi Maa (as we all call her) is a very dedicated and hardworking person and is one of those brilliant success stories of a housewife becoming a successful manager within a very short time and doing an excellent job.
Jay Sharma
Manager Operations
Jay has grown to become a reliable pillar of the Yogananda Trust. Serving since 2018, he has taken on greater and greater responsibility and today manages the Procurement, Logistics, Transport and Maintenance departments of the Trust. He is our ‘go-to’ person whenever we are in a spot! Jay is a Computer Science Graduate and has managed his family’s business for many years. He is an active sports person, loves travelling and has interest in the performing arts. Jay is a go getter and a fast learner and the word “No” is not in his dictionary. He is an excellent team player and has brought a lot of value to the Trust.
Rajkumar Sharma
Supervisor Hospital
‘Raja’ as we call him, started his career with the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust in 2017 as a Care Assistant serving the Community Mothers in Gauranagar, Vrindavan.
He joined the hospital team in 2020 and is now acting as the Supervisor of the Hospital Team, heading a team of 12 staff members. He is responsible for ensuring the ashram and community Mothers/Babas reach the hospital, complete their registration, consult the right doctor and get their required treatment. Bedside care is provided to all mothers and medicines are delivered to their houses if needed.. Raja is an excellent and caring manager who has won the hearts of everyone who serves with him at the hospital - right from the hospital staff to the doctors. He is very diligent and sincere with his work and goes an extra mile to ensure that all all the care is provided to the Mothers/babas who don’t have family to take care of them.Rajesh Pandey

Rajesh’s pleasing personality, even mindedness and patience enables him to be an asset to the Yogananda Trust. He easily communicates with the highest of the government officials and is always very well received by them. He has been serving at the Trust since 2015 and continues to be a strong member of the team. He has more than 15 years of proven track record in delivering Program management, Budgeting, implementation, research and analysis. He has exposure across diverse Sectors from NGOs to industries, academic and research Institutions like (IIM Lucknow), Giri Institute of Developmental studies etc. He works effectively with people, across-function, geography & hierarchy, in structured, ambiguous as well as complex work environment. Born on 15th October 1969 and bought up in army background family from Aligarh .Graduated in law from BSA College Mathura and later on registered as an advocate with Bar Council of UP. Having 25 years of long experience as an advocate at district court faridabad(Haryana) and Mathura(U.P). with expertise in civil, criminal and revenue cases.He is also exercised the portfolio of youth wing of Lohia vahini for vrindavan and later on elevated to district working committee of Mathura. Lohia vahini is youth political wing of samajwadi party. Actively participating in social works for which he was also honored by chairman of Nagar palika parisad ,vrindavan on 26 jan 2016. Currently, he is also working as legal advisor of Yogananda Trust.

Pia Singh is a Director on the board of DLF Limited, India’s largest real estate company. Pia is the Chairperson of DLF Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the group, which works in the field of education, infrastructure, and creation of socially and culturally relevant institutions. Prior to that, she has been the Chairperson of DLF Retail Developers Limited and Director of DT Cinemas Limited. In that position, she has spearheaded the creation of numerous DLF Retail Malls, including building the country’s first luxury retail mall and creating and building DT Cinemas across North India, and establishing DLF as one of the leading mall developers in the country. Pia is a dedicated devotee of Paramhansa Yogananda and serves as a trustee of Ananda Sangha Trust, which is the spiritual organization and works to spread Paramhansa Yogananda’s teachings in India. In this capacity, she operates many teaching centers across India and has a large online presence too. Prior to that, Pia has worked for the risk management department of GE Capital, the investment division of General Electric, USA. Pia is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Class of 94. She is a member of the Governing Council of the University of Pennsylvania Institute for Advanced Study of India.

Jayeeta is serving with the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust and living in Vrindavan since 2018. She’s actively involved in all functions carried out by the Trust. She has been associated with Ananda Sangha (a spiritual organisation sharing the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and a sister concern of the Yogananda Trust) since 2013. She has successfully co-managed Ananda Sangha center in Gurgaon, and has been instrumental in training and bringing about various service departments and teams. She is Masters in Sociology and has been a Human Resource consultant, specializing in recruitment and training with more than 22 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. She has extensive experience in training employees at the SOS International Clinic, China, and setting up training units in Thailand and Maldives. She has designed and delivered innovative Learning and Development projects, not only for the Hospitality Industry and the Corporates (IT and Non IT) but also for students of various age groups.

Amit Mohan
Advisor – Finance
Amit is a finance professional and is a qualified CA (India), CPA (US) and black belt in Six Sigma. He has led the finance and supply chain functions for large MNCs and Indian corporates across diverse industries over a career spanning more than 30 years. He has now moved to the social sector and has an oversight of the finance and accounting departments of the trust. With his diverse work experience, he has contributed significantly to strengthening the internal controls and governance procedures of the Yogananda Trust.
Divisha Gupta
Manager Digital Engagement and New Initiatives
Divisha joined the Trust in 2021 to launch the ‘Circle of Love’, the first online volunteering initiative of the Trust. She now oversees the online and offline volunteering initiatives of the Trust as well as all digital engagements on social media platforms. She is especially enthused about new initiatives and engagements that the Trust undertakes. Divisha is a Life Coach and Yoga and Meditation Trainer and has coached individuals and conducted various workshops for open groups and corporates on Happiness, Positive Thinking, Meditation etc.
Tripti Pandey
Program Manager and HR Head
Tripti is the heart of the Yogananda Trust whom every employee turns to for guidance, whether it be personal or professional. Her calm disposition and caring nature encourages trust in everybody she comes across. Tripti joined the Trust in 2016 as a coordinator and with her dedication, reliability and diligence has grown to become the Program Manager. Tripti is a Post Graduate Health Education professional with 20 years of experience as a counselor, dietician and yoga instructor on holistic wellness. She has worked with renowned organizations like Aids Control Society, BBC World Service Trust , IPAS, Chandra Medical College , Academic Resource Group, Central School Organizations etc. Hence she has a ground experience of community health, hospital administration, office administration, organizational development and complexity management in a diverse group.
Rama Sharma
Manager Care Homes
Rama has been instrumental in the growth of the Yogananda Trust since its inception in 2015, completely
immersing herself in all aspects of the work starting with initial surveys in the early days right up till the
establishment of the 4 care homes which she successfully manages today.
She exemplifies the attitude of ‘service’ which is the core of our work and personally trains and inspires the
same sense of service in every staff.
A mother of two children, having seen her share of joys and sorrows enables her to be a compassionate daughter
and friend to the mothers she looks after.
Shashi Rani
Manager Community
Shashi Rani Biswas (Shashi Maa) joined the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust at the age of 54 in 2016 after her husband's demise. For the first time in her life she stepped out of her home to earn a living as she needed to support her family. She is a mother and a grandmother. Her kind and compassionate heart led her to serve other needy elderly mothers at the Yogananda Trust. She understood their plight as she too has an 80 year old mother whom she looks after. Shashi Maa (as we all call her) is a very dedicated and hardworking person and is one of those brilliant success stories of a housewife becoming a successful manager within a very short time and doing an excellent job.
Jay Sharma
Manager Operations
Jay has grown to become a reliable pillar of the Yogananda Trust. Serving since 2018, he has taken on greater and greater responsibility and today manages the Procurement, Logistics, Transport and Maintenance departments of the Trust. He is our ‘go-to’ person whenever we are in a spot! Jay is a Computer Science Graduate and has managed his family’s business for many years. He is an active sports person, loves travelling and has interest in the performing arts. Jay is a go getter and a fast learner and the word “No” is not in his dictionary. He is an excellent team player and has brought a lot of value to the Trust.
Rajkumar Sharma
Supervisor Hospital
‘Raja’ as we call him, started his career with the Paramhansa Yogananda Public Charitable Trust in 2017 as a Care Assistant serving the Community Mothers in Gauranagar, Vrindavan.
He joined the hospital team in 2020 and is now acting as the Supervisor of the Hospital Team, heading a team of 12 staff members. He is responsible for ensuring the ashram and community Mothers/Babas reach the hospital, complete their registration, consult the right doctor and get their required treatment. Bedside care is provided to all mothers and medicines are delivered to their houses if needed.. Raja is an excellent and caring manager who has won the hearts of everyone who serves with him at the hospital - right from the hospital staff to the doctors. He is very diligent and sincere with his work and goes an extra mile to ensure that all all the care is provided to the Mothers/babas who don’t have family to take care of them.Rajesh Pandey

Rajesh’s pleasing personality, even mindedness and patience enables him to be an asset to the Yogananda Trust. He easily communicates with the highest of the government officials and is always very well received by them. He has been serving at the Trust since 2015 and continues to be a strong member of the team. He has more than 15 years of proven track record in delivering Program management, Budgeting, implementation, research and analysis. He has exposure across diverse Sectors from NGOs to industries, academic and research Institutions like (IIM Lucknow), Giri Institute of Developmental studies etc. He works effectively with people, across-function, geography & hierarchy, in structured, ambiguous as well as complex work environment. He has a proven ability in leading teams, effectively managing Internal as well as External stakeholders.
Gajendra Singh Yadav

Gajendar has been with the Trust since 2019 and has been a major support system, ever ready to serve in any capacity. Very well connected. Born on 15th October 1969 and bought up in army background family from Aligarh .Graduated in law from BSA College Mathura and later on registered as an advocate with Bar Council of UP. Having 25 years of long experience as an advocate at district court faridabad(Haryana) and Mathura(U.P). with expertise in civil, criminal and revenue cases.He is also exercised the portfolio of youth wing of Lohia vahini for vrindavan and later on elevated to district working committee of Mathura. Lohia vahini is youth political wing of samajwadi party. Actively participating in social works for which he was also honored by chairman of Nagar palika parisad ,vrindavan on 26 jan 2016. Currently, he is also working as legal advisor of Yogananda Trust.
