Livelihood Generation

  • One of the key needs of the younger widows and poor women and youth is creation of a range of livelihood and entrepreneurship opportunities. The Trust is committed to develop a program to address this vital need through providing skill training, setting up job & employment units and formation of community-based groups and institutions.

A beginning has been made by forming a collective of 40 poor and needy women by engaging them in producing handmade textile products that are based in fine stitching and embroidery skills rooted in the tradition of Brij region. This group has become independent and now operates on its own and provides substantial income to its members. Trust would be forming several such groups to harness their innate potential. Trust would facilitate growth of the needy and poor with increased access to skill development and livelihood opportunities.
