Skill Training and Livelihood Program For Women

Programs to meet the Livelihood and Entrepreneurship needs: One of the key need of the younger widows and poor women and youth is creation of a range of livelihood and entrepreneurship opportunities. The Trust is committed to develop a program to address this vital need through providing skill training, setting up job & employment units and formation of community-based groups and institutions.

Brij Manjari: A beginning has been made by starting an initiative called Brij Manjari. This is a women empowerment initiative undertaken through forming a collective of poor and needy women by engaging them in producing handmade textile products that are based in fine stitching and embroidery skills rooted in the tradition of Brij region. Brij Manjari has the potential and spirit to spread its healing energy to uplift the needy and poor with increased access to skill development and livelihood opportunities. At present Brij Manjari initiative has become a independent group and supports livelihood for 40 women and envisaged to transform the lives of many women in this region Vrindavan.
